Success In Malaysia MLM
The MLM industry has been in Malaysia for over 30 years now and it is quite a popular business. It has evolved significantly over the past decade or so and has gone from an “aunty” and “uncle” business to a much more serious business where the potential to earn is about the same as what is being paid on average to a normal Malaysian. Exactly! Not that much! But this is an excellent step forward as it gives people in this country more opportunity to make a decent income.
In today’s time, MLM has evolved into a fully fledged industry. There are more corporate professionals than ever before that are gravitating towards this business. And it is not a surprise as well. If a fresh Malaysian graduate told you that they wanted to be in MLM in the past, you would probably laugh at them. But that is not the case now. There is some serious money being made in this business and people of all ages are starting to come around and want a piece of it.
In fact, the MLM industry has the potential to create more millionaires than any other industry in the world. Unfortunately however, the one thing that hasn’t changed is the way that most Malaysian’s are being trained on how to do the business. The first thing you will learn when you join your MLM company is that you need to speak to all your friends and family. They ask you to make a list of everyone you know. Your uncle, your aunty, your maid, your postman, your gardener, your gym instructor, your chicken rice man. You get the idea. Once you run out of people you know, you are told to make flyers, prospect in shopping malls, buy leads online, cold call bad numbers. Sound familiar?
It should, because I went through this entire process myself. And you know what? I hated it! Because unless you are a super sales person with amazing people skills, it is very unlikely that you will be successful using these methods. In fact, the failure rate is 97% and is based on traditional methods of networking in this business.
So what is the solution? Well, first of all, if you want to be successful in this business you need to forget about hassling your friends and family. Instead you need to leverage tools like the internet so that you can truly have a home business and market to a massive group of people instead of the finite number in your town or city. You will also need to learn how to MARKET your business so that you can “attract” people towards you instead of prospecting where you are always doing the “chasing”. It is time to start using current methods to attract today’s prospects instead of old school methods that just aren’t that effective anymore.
