This product was well put together. Was easy to use but would have been better if there was a certain amount of cream the pregnant woman had to put on. Overall great product!

This was our third cast for the third child. Only 1 of 5 plaster rolls was proper in terms of the consistency it became after being soaked in water. The other four remained hard and crumbly, even after soaking individual pieces for 15 minutes (the good roll became right as soon as it hit the water). We were unable to get a good cast out of this kit. We got one good layer with the good roll, and our attempt at a second layer resulted in a falling apart mess. SO Diapppointing!

The kit was great, but this is definitely a three person job. You have to move quickly. I had one person preparing the strips and two people placing them on me. Make sure that you wait 10 extra minutes when you think it’s dry before you take it off, just to be sure. We also stuffed it with old towels so that the edges wouldn’t get messed up while it was setting over night. I wore a bra and panties under the cast, and they cleaned up easily enough and were not ruined. We had a great result and I can’t wait to paint it. I had 11 of my best friends in from out of town for my baby shower, and we all did my cast together the night before my shower. It was a really fun bonding experience!

I enjoyed doing this kit and would recommend it to every pregnant woman! Only thing I warn about is the piece of screen they give you to sand and smooth the cast with after it dries…your efforts will be futile. Just get real sandpaper, medium grit, if you don’t want to literally be there all day sanding with worn out arms! Sand it outside, too. The dust isn’t bad or anything and you don’t see it linger in the air, but if even a little bit gets in your sinuses, you will feel as though you are sick for a couple of days.

Otherwise, they put plenty of the plaster material in the box and I have enough left to do another cast if I wanted! It takes about 4-5 days to dry and will be much lighter when it does! Happy casting!

I purchased this because its my very first pregnancy and I thought it would be cool just in case it’s my only. It is very easy to use, especially by yourself. It says do-it-yourself but then talks about a helper so I was a little nervous. As long as you follow the directions it’s cool, even if the casting (after getting wet) sticks to itself it’s very easy to straighten out again. The only problem I had was the plaster kept getting everywhere (thank God for the plastic protector). If you are doing this by yourself make sure you have everything laid out and properly prepared because even though I did, it was drying way too fast (when it dries it starts to come off) and I was rushing to get it done properly. Another thing I loved about this product is they give you enough of everything so it is meant for women of all sizes. I happen to be small so I have about a little less than half of my kit left. If I get pregnant again I will without a doubt purchase this.
