Petzl LED Headlamps
Petzl LED Headlamps are known for how extremely light they are. Most clock in at just around 3 oz. So you should have no problem with it bothering you on a quick hiking trip.
The LED lights in the headlamp are powerful and carefully positioned to get maximum light coverage when you’re traveling. The lights themselves effectively project for 29 meters.
An easy to find button allows you to switch quickly between light settings too. Typically there are 3 different settings on a Petzl headlamp: High, Low and strobe (simple flashing).
The battery consumption on the low setting is so conservationist that you can run your light for up to 120 hours, while on high you will most likely only get 90 hours.
As always, Petzl LED headlamps come with an adjustable headlamp so you can tilt it anywhere you need it.
Additionally most Petzl’z are waterproof so they’re perfect for even the most adventurous of people who want to go out in the rain or need to swim across a dangerous amazon river.
The adjustable head strap will fit pinheads and fatheads alike and can even be changed to fit kids. You’ll also get a plastic case for your strap so it will stay new and fresh.
All Petzl headlamps also come with integrated inter-connectivity that allows you to swap lamps if you need a more powerful headlamp for a certain task or if you’re going for endurance. The system is flexible and is also great for the Mr. fix-it in the home.
You’ll need to keep triple A batteries on hand cause that’s what nearly all Petzl headlamps use. You can also use the lighter lithium batteries to cut down on weight. Just in case you have a hard time holding your head up.
There are specialized headlamps that Petzl makes but all of them are great all-around headlamps that will keep you from running into trees at night. If you’re in the headlamp market Petzl is the way to go.
