Not at any time has it been so good to be a movie aficionado. Back in the day the only way that you could even see a movie was to visit the movie theater. Later on, videos came out and you could get a videotape at the store but the motion picture that you wanted may have been out-of-stock and you still had to wait. You also needed to make sure that you avoided any late fees by making sure that you got the film back to the store on time. Now you can get the movies by mail, but it is still a waiting game. Select from the assessments below and download a fantastic movie to view today.

Friend Farewell – Mercenaries return to Marseilles following funeral of Charles Cyphers. Carpenter’s follow-up to Halloween is a well-prompted although obvious ghost storyline in regards to a California coastal town hexed by a hundred-year-old shipwreck. Cast includes Alain Delon, Charles Bronson, Olga Georges-Picot, Brigitte Fossey, and Bernard Fresson. (115 minutes, 1968)

The Indian in the Cupboard – A youngster (Scardino) receives an ancient chest as a birthday gift, and finds that when he sets a toy Indian inside and turns the key, the Indian comes to life. Then he sees that the Indian is not a toy, but a genuine person. Complications follow, particularly while his best buddy summons to life a toy cowboy. Cast includes Hal Scardino, Lindsay Crouse, Richard Jenkins, Rishi Bhat, and Nestor Serrano. (96 minutes, 1995)

Clue – Silly and insipid mystery based on the trendy board game of the same name with all the recognizable characters Mrs. Peacock, Colonel Mustard, Miss Red, et al. gathered for a murderous day in a Victorian mansion. Everyone tries very hard but there is nothing they can do to save this weak film. Cast includes Eileen Brennan, Tim Curry, Madeline Kahn, Christopher Lloyd, Michael McKean, Martin Ponder, and Howard Hesseman. (87 minutes, 1985)

The Prince and the Showgirl – Fairly decent but slow moving comedy of saucy American show gal Monroe being courted by Prince Regent of Carpathia (Olivier) throughout the 1911 coronation of George V. Filmed in England, with admirable performances by Monroe and Olivier. Cast includes Marilyn Monroe, Laurence Olivier, Sybil Thorndike, Jeremy Spencer, and Richard Wattis. (117 minutes, 1957)

Mysterious Lady – An Austrian armed forces officer (Nagel) falls in love with Garbo, naive that she’s a Russian agent. Another contrived plot made serviceable by Garbo herself. Cast includes Greta Garbo, Conrad Nagel, Gustav von Seyffertitz, Albert Pollet, and Edward Connelly. (96 minutes, 1928)

Above the Law – This is Steven Segal’s breakout movie. He plays a Chicago Cop who takes matters into his own hands. As the title implies, he is ‘above the law’. He uses his large body and martial arts skills to wreak disorder on the bad guys. Stars include Steven Segal, Pam Grier, and Sharon Stone. (1988 Action)

Basic – While things go askew throughout an armed forces work out, base captain Daly brings in Travolta, the best interrogator he ever had, to question the surviving members of the squad, whose tales don’t add up. In fact a whodunit, this film keeps us guessing, as a good intrigue should. Cast includes John Travolta, Connie Nielsen, Samuel L. Jackson, Giovanni Ribisi, Tim Daly, Roselyn Sanchez, and Harry Connick. (2003 minutes, 1995)
