Everything needs to be connected, it is very important to be sure to connect the cords from the power supply properly, if you install it incorrectly you may have to purchase the motherboard and CPU. Begin with the power supply, make sure the cords are plugged in correctly, you can refer back to the camera if you took a picture. You may be able to find pictures online if you did not take a picture.

You will need to decide which hard drive is the Master and which one is the slave if you have more than one. Connect the hard drive to the Master and place the SATA cords in place. Follow through with any other hard drives and then connect the power supply to them.

Install the PCI cards in their appropriate spots, this would things like video cards, sound cards and the like. Be sure to make sure they are getting power as well if they have the required slots for them. Install the RAM, make sure to check with the manual to verify that if they need specific instructions.
